apply for a $500 scholarship

The Carolyn Parslow Memorial Scholarship will award four, $500 scholarships to deserving high school seniors who are members of a credit union affiliated with the Tampa Bay Chapter of Credit Unions.

Students' academic achievements and extracurricular activities in school and the community are instrumental in students receiving this award.


  1. The applicant must be a primary member in good standing at a credit union affiliated with the Tampa Bay Chapter of Credit Unions at the time the application is submitted.
  2. The applicant must be a senior in high school who will enroll in a course of study during the 2024–2025 academic year at an accredited college, university, vocational-technical or trade school in the United States.


  1. Completion of the Online Scholarship Application must be done by 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2024 to be considered for the scholarship. Only online applications will be considered.
  2. All information provided with the scholarship application will remain confidential. No materials will be returned.


  1. Completed applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
  2. Finalists may be asked to meet with the Scholarship Committee for an informal interview.
  3. Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by July 17, 2024.
  4. All decisions concerning the scholarship award will be the responsibility of the Scholarship Committee, and all decisions of the Scholarship Committee are final.
  5. Recipients consent to photographs for use in advertising, publicity, or other business purposes.


  1. Scholarship checks will be paid to the recipient no later than August 1, 2024.
  2. Recipients of scholarship must provide the Tampa Bay Chapter of Credit Unions proof of enrollment at the intended school named on the application. Such proof would be a course schedule, receipt from registrar’s office etc.
  3. Scholarship is a non-recurring award.
